What people don’t seem to either understand or care about, is even if this bill does create jobs, there is almost no way to pay it back. Plus, if the jobs are government jobs, they are paid through taxes not private investment.
We won’t even mention the fact that the bill is loaded with spending that has nothing to do with stimulation or that the bill is so large that nobody voting on it actually read it. What would your boss at work do if you made a decision on something with that pricetag but didnt’ read it? Again, Congress is not the real world because they are dealing with the illusion of never ending money. But as Margaret Thatcher said, ” The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money to spend.”
In addition to spending in this bill, there are going to be expanded and new programs. Once a government program, always a government program. So how are we going to pay for it down the line? This is unsustainable.
